Beginning to learn Japanese

I’ve added a bunch of links in the links section of my journal here. I’m just doing some mad browsing at the moment. Trying to look for book recommendations before I go comb through used bookstores.

Learned something new today at proverbs of the day:

鬼も十八、番茶も出花
おにもじゅうはち、ばんちゃもでばな
(Even ogre is pretty at 18, and even cheap tea smells good at the first brew)
